Mouse nest in my compost bin

Hi, I've just found a nest of mice in my compost bin. :shock: Cute though they are what should I do, leave them or get rid?

They do like burrowing around in there, it's warm and protected.

I've found them in finished piles accidentally with a pitchfork. Oops!

They don't hurt your compost and compost doesn't necessarily attract them, they were around anyway and just decided to take up residence.

It's one reason we don't put compost piles too close to the house.
