Aact set up

The pump I got does 1.8l/min or 29gph, pressure 1.45 tank depth 39in
And I grabbed a 6in anchor bubbler.
Is this going to work or do I need a stronger pump?

That's a decent pump. Not TOO high rated but it will work! Mine is rated for 100 gallons and I use a 5-gal bucket

And when you use a pump, it's called AACT or actively aerated compost tea. Steeping it is w/o a pump

Here's my set-up! And for Compost tea, I use 2-5 cups of compost per 5-gal bucket

Also, you will need to replace the air stone after repetead use

:)

For the air stone does size matter.?
The pack came with some small one.
I only read alittle abit about this last night.
I was trying to do my best while chasing a 4 yr boy running after a bouncy ball.
I need to get him to use that energy to pull weeds.
Thanks for the correction.

Hope I did it right.
I used gardeners all purpose compost.
Do I need 100% manure cause this has aged forest compost added.
I put 4 cups in and 5tbs of molasses and ill add some fish emulsion at the end.

that is NOT steeped tea, that is BREWED tea... hence the topic title should be brewed tea and not steeped tea.

steeped tea = compost and water - (nothing more) and mixing it manually once or twice a day.

brewed tea = molasses, water, compost, ect.. and mixing it with air pump and air stone

example:
BLACK KOW manure compost from lowe's (although it's a powder, by the way it doesn't matter if it's a powder based compost), use 1 cup per 1gal of water and mix manually.. use very next day after mixing it again manually.

Yeah I read that can I edit the title?
And know what each one is now.
I'm new to it and just trying to keep up with the planting season.

If the edit button is there, then you can go back to your own OP and edit the title of the thread by changing the subject line. If edit button is not available, then PM a mod and we can change it for you.

Don't worry about nomenclature--just enjoy what the liquid does for your garden!
it DOES matter what you call it.. brewed/aact vs steeped are indeed 2 different things. it's confusing to some if they are not called what they are properly!

if you use a pump, then it's brewed.. if you don't use a pump then it's steeped. people can try to correct me but in the end brewed is brewed and steeped is steeped.. that's the bottom line. but you are right after that, the end results DO help your plants a lot!

Use a small stone for max. air flow. When you upgrade to a bigger pump someday, you can use a bigger air-stone. Rinse the stone of between batches for better results. Replace it when it looks dirty and slimey

I'm OK with calling compost tea 'brewed' cuz it is kinda simlar to brewing. You have compost, sugar amd bacteria/fungi to get a finished result that is beyond just mixing dirt with water and applying

Steeped should be condiered seperate

But STILL, it's just nomenclature - it's not like you're doing it wrong

This is why you need to be organic
