Composting Chicken Manure

How many of you have used chicken manure in your compost? I have been composting the manure from my flock for up to 16 months and plan to use the oldest in my garden next year.

The only problem is that I recently found that my chickens have large round worms. I am treating them with acidified copper sulfate, which is the most environmentally friendly medication I could find.

My questions are: how long do I have to compost to be sure that there are no parasite eggs in the manure, and how long do I need to compost to be sure the copper sulfate is not an issue?

Any experience in this would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was kind of thinking that might be a good idea. My garden needs all the compost it can get...so it's a shame to no be able to use it!

I'm sure the daylilies will be happy however.
