After mowing, can I use the leaf and grass mixture immediately or do I have to wait for it to cure?

You can use it anytime. For me the sooner the better.

Use it for what? You mean the grass clippings from mowing mixed with leaves? You could use it right away as mulch, like in a flower or veggie bed. You put your question in the composting forum. It won't break down and be compost for months.
