Easy/Premium compost time here in Alaska

I've been getting this years compost bin filled up. Leaves are falling, so I mow & vacuum the leaves & grass, & have been adding/mixing the bean, pea, brocc & squash etc plants so far, as we pick them. Spray on some water & cover. It got over 100° overnight. It's steaming hot today.
I always mix in some old compost or almost done compost to the mix to bring in the "yeast", so to speak.
I'll be adding leaves & grass mix as I mow & pick up leaves & mix in the rest of the garden plants as we bring stuff in.
Horizontal air pipes in the bottom & middle so far.
I'll fill the bin over full by the end of Sept , then mix & add some fresh grass clipping next spring for a few yards of "done compost in August 2012

Is that weed block on the sides or your bin?

Landscape cloth. I have Green house plastic on the outside (like on the front bin door in the pic) & then put the cloth on the inside. Solar heated compost bin. (Well when the sun shines during the summer anyway) Almost everything I do, garden ways, is some method to bring the temperatures up. Even for compost & it thaws sooner in the spring.

I like that cloth idea.
