Using metal?

Hi,

I bought some galvanized metal to tie my pallet bin together. On the label it says something like this product contains chemicals that are known to the state of california to cause cancer. Then tells you to wash your hands after handling.

Should I be worried with this having contact in my compost bin that could later have contact with my veggies and fruits? Or is it so negligible that it wouldn't even be a problem?

They're just talking about the zinc galvanizing. It's negligible. Try not to lick them. :D
