sunflower seeds in horse manure?
I've just built a compost bin and am all ready to put all my horse manure in, and it occurred to me I feed my horses BOSS (a type of sunflower seeds) mixed in with their feed. Will these be a problem? I mean they eat them but I know they don't all get destroyed b/c the birds love picking the seeds out of their manure in the field! I'm hesitant to quit feeding them the seeds..it's a cheap source of calories for them. Will this be a huge problem?

If not sunflowers some other weed -- I.e. unwanted plant -- will sprout in the same spot. I'd rather have a plant I might want growing than something completely useless.
I'm also learning to think of all weeds as potential compost ingredient or mulch. I let them grow if they're not too close to things I'm actually growing in the area, so they amass some bulk (I feel like the witch in the Gingerbread House -- [with a reedy cackle] "Is it time to cut you down yet, My Pretty?" )
