Red Worm Bin Producing Maggots
Hello all, I'm trying my hand at vermicomposting so I bought a pound of worms and set up their bin accordingly . I threw in half-rotted apple approximately a week ago and now I'm seeing tiny white maggots in the bin and some fruit flies flew out(eww). I'm wondering if I should remove it immediately or slice off the critters and return the remainder of the apple, and if this is going to be a continuing issuse that comes with vermicomposting. BTW, should I be concerned about clearing out any remainding maggots?
