I found a new friend living in my compost, and quickly grabbed it before it could get away. It's a little worm snake, and I'm sure it's eating my worms....Oh well, it was fun playing with it anyway...

Very cool. We have a NON-venomous snake called the " Black Racer " here and I have never been able to catch one. I'm just glad they don't chase me cause you sure can't out run one.
I would give up a few worms just to see one of those worm snakes!! Critters and such are just another one of the reasons we garden although my love of deer does change slightly come November.
