on the outside of my vermipost bin

can someone tell me what this is? this is around all the ventilation holes (except the top ones on the lid). they don't appear to be moving. i do not know what they or it is.

Do you know if you've fruit flies or other flying insects in or around your bin? They *could* be where the larvae crawled out and pupated, but it's rather hard to tell. If you are really curious, you're going to have to get a magnifying glass and examine them closely for segments, or get somebody with a really good camera to take a well-focused macro photo.

I have not seen one insect around the bin. at this point i am afraid to open the bin to see what is happening inside. it's going on 3 weeks old. i will see if i can get a more magnified picture
