grass clippings with ground elder?

We have ground elder in our lawn of our new house. Is it ok to compost the grass cuttings plus the ground elder leaves?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi again Juliet! Read the sticky at the beginning of this section re greens and browns. It's ok to compost the grass clippings and ground elder leaves, but they are both greens. In order for them to compost well (as opposed to matting down and becoming a slimy mess) you need to add some browns with them. That would be things like fall tree leaves, shredded office paper, torn up newspaper, sawdust, corncobs, straw, etc...
