Is Compost Necessary or is Soil & Fertilizer Enough?

okay cool. well I went on that website and it says I'm in zone 8. I will probably pick up a copy of that book either this weekend or next weekend. I've heard about it but didn't know it was "worth reading" book. Thanks guys!
