a few questions before I get started with BokaSHI

A. Is it worth putting the bottom layer of shredded paper and bokashi bran.

1. How long does activated em-1 last?
2. how long does em-1 last? Does it need refrigeration? Does it need refrigeration?
4. What things can be added to bokashi? do the same principles of composting 50Lgreen:50 brown apply to bokashi also)
5. Can Spices/spiced gravy or egg yokes be added to bokashi?
