how to add compost to potted tomato plant

Hi,

I have a potted tomato plant. I put a 1/2" layer of compost to the top of the soil. I compost with bokashi. Because bokashi is an anaerobic process, it does not fully breakdown until it is introduced to soil. I am wondering if it was it a good or bad idea to add compost that is not fully decomposed to the top of my potted tomato plant soil. :?

Thanks!

being that it's on top I don't for see it being any issues. Now if you had to much of the unfinished stuff mixed in down by the roots it could cause a N deficiency in the plant while it finishes up. And if I'm not mistaking tomatoes usually don't use a lot of N anyways so I think you will be more then fine.
