I am located in Victoria BC and would love to share my bunny compost with other local gardeners

Hi BunnysGarden,

I have two rabbits that produce what I hope is lots of compost material. I use horse bedding (compressed wood pellets) for their litter, so there is that, their waste and then hay in the mix. Can I just go from their litter box to the garden, or do I need put the mix in a hole in the ground for a week or so first to help get rid of the ammonia and break everything down a bit?

Thanks so much for any information you may have. :)

actually, I know a guy who raises rabbits for meat, and he does compost the heads and skins...I think separately from the poops, though.
