I like the music at the beginning of this series of 13 one hour true store videos. This is the music at the beginning of all 13 videos.

I don’t recognise the composer but it sounds like the work Hollywood commisioned mid 20th century from European refugees.

I don’t get it. What’s ‘green’ about Elvis? Mind you I’m not a fan of Elvis so don’t know much about him. In fact most early Rock & Roll I hear as watered down blues.
One thing many don’t know about Elvis was if you gave him a good movie script (not a music movie) he really could act. Don’t remember the name of the movie but in it he played a priest and gave a brilliant performance.

When I first saw this picture I did not realize the last word of his name is spelled Parsley not Presley so I thought this is STUPID. I don't like Elvis Presley. When I realized it says Parsley then I thought it is funny.

I don't like the old whinny baby crying country music from long ago but the new modern country music is better. I mostly light 60s & 70s Rock music and anything else that sounds good.

I am getting lots of bra advertisements on the Garden Forum, someone must think I need a bra. LOL

I made the same mistake .

Me too but I’m not sure what ’sounds good’ means. If you mean something like Linda Rhondstat, Dolly Parton and Emmy-Lou Harris singing ’The Blue Train’ on their ’Trio’ album I agree :-

I happen to like some of Elvis Presley's music, like 'Hound Dog' and 'Burning Love', 'Devil in Disguise', 'Heartbreak Hotel', 'Stuck on You', and 'Suspicious Minds'.

Fair enough. I don’t espect everyone to like a lot of the music I enjoy.
Wrong section but as I’ve got a TomatoNut’s attention I wonder if you can solve a mystery for me.
I have a large raised bed containing ‘Black Russian’ and ‘Roma’ tomatoes. Both have received exactly the same treatment yet only the ‘Black Russians’ are splitting as if they’re being overwatered. Any ideas as to what’s going on?
(I’ll post the question on the Tomato section too)

I listen to a lot of old rock music and some newer metal and female fronted symphonic metal.

Bands like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath etc
Nightwish and Within Temptation are also favourites.

Browsing through some old vinyl I rediscovered Rachmaninoff's second piano concerto. How could I have forgotten how much I loved it - the second movement so lushly calming. I want that playing softly as I die.

Ha; which reminds me of an old school pal's last wish. He was the most easy-going undemanding person you could ever hope to meet. But the music he had chosen for his funeral? The Ride of the Valkyries! I guess you never know what's going on under the surface .....

To my ears a lot (not all!) of acid rock is as powerful as powerful and meaningful as the most dramatic classical symphonies. My only reservation is the incessant use of the standard rock & roll drum kit when there are so many other possibilities.

Let’s go back 842 years to when Abbess Hildegard von Bingen composed 'Voice of the Blood'

I'm quite fond of Native American flute music. Some of the nature apps I have has flute music to add, and I enjoy the beautiful melodies.

Totally agree having stumbled across some on Youtube. There don’t however appear to be any commercially available downloads/cd’s etc. Do you know of any? However, I often find myself wondering how genuine/original the examples we find on Youtube are too.

I haven't hunted for CD's, you might check Amazon; that's where I go CD shopping. As for apps, the ones I had downloaded didn't work offline so I removed them. However, if you have endless internet you can go under Google Play, type in Native American Flute Music and take your pick of apps. The flute music I have came on nature apps.

Edit: OK, I went and checked Amazon. They do indeed have available Native American flute music CD's. But read the reviews of them first, some people say the flute music on some of the CD sounds rather fake.

Thanks I’ll go back to Amazon. And yes, a lot of the Native American flute music I’ve listened to on Youtube does sound fake.
