Pink pineapple!

This is the patent link https://www.google.com/patents/USPP25763. It looks like there were pictures embedded but they don't show up. I'm very curious to see what these new fruits look like.

Del Monte gold is the parent and it is a low acid fairly sweet cultivar. I had some crowns of Del Monte Gold, but now all I have is Dole's low acid pineapple. Sounds like it will be an interesting fruit.

I think that's a species of decorative pineapple, not the pineapple with pink flesh.
