Pink pineapple!

This is the patent link https://www.google.com/patents/USPP25763. It looks like there were pictures embedded but they don't show up. I'm very curious to see what these new fruits look like. :)

Del Monte gold is the parent and it is a low acid fairly sweet cultivar. I had some crowns of Del Monte Gold, but now all I have is Dole's low acid pineapple. Sounds like it will be an interesting fruit.

I think that's a species of decorative pineapple, not the pineapple with pink flesh. :lol:
