Question about my favorite show Shark tank!

Lets say I appear on Shark tank and ask for $100,000 for 40 percent of my business. My question is if they give me the $100,000 and take 40% of the business they are actually getting 40% of the $100,000 back is they insist that I use the $100,000 in the business. So in actuality they only gave me $60,000 right? Any Shark tank people may answer my question? I have applied to get on there!
