My eldest called yesterday incredulous that she just found a poison ivy stalk nearly as thick as her waist. This was at a campground she is rehabbing.
I did mention that seed for the bumper crop of volunteers she had been removing all this summer, had to coming from some place.
I confirmed for her that she could just cut out a chunk of the trunk, and let the rest decay in place...
Lets hope she doesn't find any triffids...

Probably another world damning monster from Creve Coeur, Missouri.

She must be very thin! Or that is a Jack in the bean stock one. What does this have to do with Ho-ho-ho?

For about the first twenty minutes of that phone call I was sure my leg was being pulled.
My parting advice was she had best be sure to use a dust mask. Poison ivy saw dust can't be good in your lungs or nostrils when chain-sawing this kinda giant bean-stalk down.
Oh, heck no matter how overstated her call was (I'll be up her way next week), she needs to cut out the Ivy of reproductive age, if that site is going to become a camp ground.

Back from my travels.
She overstated her poison ivy-giant bean stalk. IMO its closer to the thickness of her knee.
Its still a monster tho...
