I was doing some research on how much trees take in carbon dioxide and make oxygen, it may be 560 people. So my tees took in tons of carbon and made tons of oxygen, preserving the forest makes me feel good.
I just had my mom from the Boston area and she kept commenting on how good the air was. We had some one here from LA a week ago, and he said how good the air was a few times, I told them that we make it right here. Trees are a very important part of the environment, we need to do all we can to keep the forests of the world. Not just for air but for wildlife as well.

I totally agree on the trees. I wish it was a law for any land harvested for lumber, it had to be replanted with native trees.

I have 22 trees (indigenous and evergreens) on my < 1 acre lot.

If you cant have trees algae works great to sequester carbon.

warm water and a bit of nitrogen is all that is required. you will get Oxygen as a biproduct as well although Trees are my fav

The seas do make a good amount of cleaning the air. The forests of the world do the best job, it is not good that we are loosing so much of the worlds forests every year.

Forests continue to decline worldwide, according to a new study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science (PNAS). Employing satellite imagery researchers found that over a million square kilometers of forest were lost around the world between 2000 and 2005. This represents a 3.1 percent loss of total forest as estimated from 2000. While the study did not look at forest gains during the same time period, it reveals some surprises about where and how much forest was lost: including the fact that from 2000 to 2005 both the United States and Canada had higher percentages of forest loss than even Brazil.

with De-forestation and the increase of water temperatures world wide we might end up in a bad spot. increased water temperatures push large tracts of the ocean from habitable by our Platonic friends to not. not generally a good thing.

On that note I have planted a few trees shrubs and other such things in my yard. It might help offset something
