Found this massive snail in my old boat

I found this snail as well as at least 10 others of the same size in my old boat (small jon boat). All shells were hollow but I did notice eggs. I've lived on this lake for years and have never seen these guys before. I looked online to see if they're the invasive giant african snail but it's not. The giant african snail has a pointy shell, this one does not. Any idea what species of snail this is? I'm a bit concerned.

It looks like a fresh water snail. Apple snails were imported here as a secondary crop for taro farmers. Unfortunately, it also ate the taro roots too.

Take them to your local pet store they would love to have them for thier hemit crabs!
