What is this caterpillar going to be?

My wife found this on a blueberry bush, we think it may be a butterfly.

Does it look like the ones entwined in this blog?

It reminded me of a photo I saw a few years ago of the San Francisco Bay Area checkerspot butterfly's life cycle. Unfortunately, the S.F. Bay Area checkerspot butterfly is severely endangered, and hasn't been reported in Oregon, but there may be an Oregon checkerspot variety.

Here's a photo of the Baltimore checkerspot caterpillar; there seems to be a family resemblance, even though the striping is oriented differently in their photo vs. yours.

My best guess for now. :)

The one in the blog looks a lot like it Applestar, the blog one does have a big head. My wife did find it on a blueberry plant.
