So I decided to use these to mark my garden plants this year. This is my start! I'll post more pics as I make more.

Those are really cute but I wished you had posted these a couple of months ago. We just hauled off a lot of rocks we've picked out of the garden that would have been perfect. I'm sure well find more and I have to make some. I used to have several of them.

Applestar, when I painted mine years ago I use Delta patio paints and they lasted several years. I don't know the chemicals used in the paint but it should be easy to find out. Soap and water clean-up.

I use acrylic enamel, and acrylic paint. Then spray them with a polyurethane. The paint is soap and water clean up, but the polyurethane spray, I just spread out plastic and newspapers and throw those away. You don't have to use it, but you'll just end up touching up more often than not.

Love it! Acrylic paints would work well and not be detrimental. Another idea is to make custom pavers. You can use anything for a mold. OJ containers, plastic milk jugs, throw away aluminum pie pans or rectangular pans. Use Quick Crete. Before adding the Quick Crete to the mold set fern leaves, flowers or anything that will make a nice impression. Pour in the Quick Crete. Allow to dry. Remove from the mold. Use a wire brush to remove the plant material. Use as is or add color with acrylic paint. Another fun project.

I chuckle at painting stones. We don't have rocks and stones, kid you not. This is The Delta. I can dig in the yard, and only rocks are 'foreign'. Rocks are sold at the garden centers.

Those are so cute! It would be fun to do that with the kids next year. I'd like to get them each their own dirt box to plant something in, and they could decorate them with stones that they painted. =)

I like to decorate my garden. I have ceramic chickens out there, and I planted a flower border on one section. It makes it that much more fun. =D

I have some new photos to post of stones I painted for the garden, and used for the boarders.

And I couldn't help but make some minions from Despicable Me, LOL!

That is so stinking cute. Gardening and crafts two of my favorite things. Can't get much better than that unless your baking lol. This is a must try.
