Ok, I think this thread is going viral, but you need to start at the beginning and look through the first half of the pages!!!! This is the worst construction project I have ever seen!! There is even a couple time lapses to see this progress!!

I made my living in the trades. I did my first 15 years framing , painting, doing rough work and learning home building. I became a highly skilled cabinet and furniture maker owning a design and cabinet firm. Even when someone showed me do it yourself stuff I never had a problem finding a kind and encouraging word. I certainly never laughed out lout at anybody's hard work. There is a first time for everything. Great post. Thanks.

OK, IndyGerdener: it's ALL YOUR FAULT!!!

My ribs hurt, my throat hurts, DH thinks I've absolutely lost my mind joining a sports bike forum (based in British Columbia, no less), and almost 2 hours of my Friday evening have vaporized while staring in horrified fascination at the Shed of Doom thread (now up to 31 pages and evidently posted on reddit and other
Very Big internet sites). OMG, it's so bad it's hysterical.
An amazing number of people have joined that site simply because of the Shed thread, and from a wide variety of interest fora. I seem to be the only one who joined from a gardening forum, though; most of the others had at least a tenuous connection to either metallic objects or mechanical (= powered) ones.
I worked construction for a while in college--the money was better than secretary money--and, before the car accident which knocked me out of gardening (and house repairs), I also was the "crew chief" for most of the repairs at our previous house. (The accident was in December 1995.) I also took a couple of cabinet-making classes while working in construction, so the pain of seeing how this guy just slapped stuff together without a right angle anywhere is pretty great.
But maybe the B.C. climate will have its revenge....

That is simply pitiful. What a waste of decent lumber. Just goes to show you what lack of talent, a saw, hammer and nails can do to supply comedic relief.
I've seen a lot of poor workmanship in my day, but this takes the cake.
As Forest Gump liked to say, "That's all I have to say about that!"

I can't remember when my wife and I laughed so hard.

As of last night, the Shed of Doom thread:
1) had received over One Million views,
2) had a following on Twitter (@ShedofDoom),
3) had been Photoshopped in some very funny ways, esp. pp. 30 through 45 of the thread.

I watched a couple of the time lapse videos of this build and I must say, it looks like the Keystone Kops met the 3 Stooges and started a construction company------and I use the word construction very sarcastically.

one might consider the entire event was actually "on purpose"
