I've never seen a Sea Otter here, but many River Otter.

Common sightings - wildlife.

Bald Eagles, Daily. Sitting on fence post. Feasting on road kill.
Orca whales, I believe there are two new babies this year.
Seals. We have a seal that hangs around the harbor. His name is Popeye. He only has one eye.
Cormorants. The funny looking ducks.

Pretty much paradice.

This thread cracked me up! Your little Matt looks like he could lose a few, what have you been feeding him!?

My dad's job used to take us to Monterey, CA for a couple of months every Summer and I lived there as a baby. I find myself craving it... the smell of the warf, the distant barking of lions, the ice plants in bloom... If you're looking for sea otters, Monterey is the place to go! I finally took my husband a few years ago so that he would stop rolling his eyes when I'd talk about it. Hopefully we'll get back out there in the next few years, but we'd also love to get out to WA since it's somewhere that neither of us have traveled!
