Good! That's my trick! I've done it 3 times so far.tomf wrote:I've not fallen off any cliffs; so far.
I visited Alta when I was in Salt Lake one September, during a heat wave with triple digit temps. I was in SL to show my Kom at an International Specialty Dog Show. I was so proud of her! She won Reserve Winner's Female. (Automatic Editor won't let me write it properly! ) Pretty darned good for a little girl that started life paralyzed from parvovirus.
Anyway, it wasn't exactly what you'd call skiing weather, but it was still a very pretty place.
OK; here is some more, the scenery is very breath taking.rainbowgardener wrote:Very nice. You were gone skiing 5 days and you only bring us back one photo?
Looks like a great trip!
The camera make a lot of the slopes look flat so much it of is a bit steeper than you may think.

One of the easy runs, Snowbird.

The lodge and hotel at Snowbird, Alta is in the distance, you can ski from one to the other via the back bowls; skiers only at Alta.

Last time I was in Snowbird, they had an unusual warm spell. It didn't affect the snow too much and people were skiing in bermuda shorts and bikinis. I was in a bib and a t-shirt. It was awesome! A bit chilly at the top of the gondola there, but you warm up quick when you're working that hard.
I see you have double tips. What are they? I have a slightly older pair of K2 Public Enemys.

The photo of the skier is not me. I do have double tips although, I have some Volkl Katana's, with an arched center and rocker tips and tails. I have a few other pairs of skis but they are the best powder ski I have tried. I just got my wife a set of Rossi S7 powder skis, not as fat as mine but fat.
