And, not a speck of smog in that clear sky, James!!

No, I couldn't see the moon when I went out this morning . . . even at a further west longitude than yours there in Utah.

Too much of an air inversion here. koff The horizon was orange and just now working its way thru shades of grey. koff

I did see the full moon last night! It was almost startling since the sun was NEVER able to break thru yesterday. koff, wheeze. The slight breeze at sundown must have been just enuf!

Okay, how about our Californians out there . . ?

Top: The moon was in full eclipse here and it was starting to get light just before the moon went behind the mountain. Some thought it may be possible to see the moon and sun at the same time, but no luck here, the mountains raise the skyline quite a bit.

Bottom: A shot when it was partial. The moon in the shadow had a reddish tint to it.
