gardening books

I was doing some cleaning etc, and had about 10 bks on gardening (gardens, perennials, cacti etc). They are all good, and I have used them. Carried to local book store that has new & used books. Woman said gardening books don't sell, sorry. It struck me odd as gardening is 'in'.
Came home with books, that's OK, would have been $10-15 at best. I did mention I have bought several gardening books there. (perhaps only buyer?!)

May I recommend contacting Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon? I've earned some store credit from them, sending used books that they wanted. If Powell's wants them, they'll email you a mailing label to cover the postage.

Hard to imagine a used-book store not wanting gardening books in these times, but maybe Powell's will want them. :D

There is some book swapping sites out there. I don't know if you are into that sort of thing but it is another alternative.
