How to find recent visited net sites on pc?

Sun Aug 22, 2010 1:13 pm

Someone on here I beleive it was CynthiaH for some reason. Showed me where on the pc you can find your recent list of visited sites. This was like every thing you have clicked on while on the internet. I'm not looking for the recent history that is in the toolbar that only shows like the past 10 or so.

Any one know what I'm talking about?

I have a program called "Spider" that wipes all that stuff clean. I know when I run it there are thousands, ten's of thousand of links. Every click you have made whether it be a site a photo an add, every click.

Well, on most browsers if you go up into the History sector of the toolbar you should be able to expand the history into a window spanning up to several months, depending on your settings.

I use Safari, and I have the option "Show All History." Firefox has similar functionality, as do Opera and Chrome. I haven't used IE since the internets were very very new, so I have no idea there.

I like Safari also, on 10.6 it is even better.

Glad you found it! "Show All History" in Firefox. Then you can select

Today
Yesterday
Last 7 days
This month
July
June
May

and there's a Search capability. So you can Search the History of places you've been on your computer. (Mac/Firefox)

Isn't Safari only for Mac?

Dono,

I use a free program called ccleaner and set it up to run on a schedule to remove and overwrite all temp files, browser histories, and all junk files on my computer. I set it to overwrite each file three times to permanently delete files including files in my recycle bin. It also has a registry clean and repair option which works well to minimize startup time with Vista. It isn't that have a lot of stuff I shouldn't have, I simply resent the ability of people who may be working on my computer or may somehow gain access to it to track and use my activities. I don't know spider but I have used ccleaner for many years and love it. The only problem it presents is the fact that I have to relog on to some sites when all my cookies, history, and temp files are removed. I use Firefox and Chrome on occassion.
