Purple martin webcam

If they have it tuned to the house view and not the alternating view--this is very relaxing. Located on the shores of Lake Ontario it is a purple martin colony. There is sound available, and one can hear the waves in the background, along with the occasional powerboat. They will be migrating soon. Best shot for birds is about 1/2 hour after sunrise and 1/2 hour before sunset (6:30 a.m./8:35 p.m. EST, currently). Enjoy.

Well, looks like the martins have all gone, or been evicted, as the houses are down. The viewing angle has changed, but it's still a nice view of Lake Ontario, though. I don't know if the owner intends to broadcast through the fall and winter; I suspect this is a summer-only place.
