Liquid Applications Backpack Spray Nozzle challenge

Maybe I am overthinking it, BUT I see the difference ... spray nozzles, for those that take advantage of backpack spraying liquids on to the lawn.

I am testing now a few battery powered backpack sprayers, including the Chapin 24 volt, Sprayers Plus and Millwaukee.

Chapin comes with 2 fan type nozzles, and what I notice, is that it has a very uneven distribution of liquids. You almost have to over cover the previous path by 1/3rd to come close to even coverage... Confirmed by this fellow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXc_XoN ... dex=3&t=0s) who is really into testing ...

This guy also explains well the difference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-E3T0b ... dex=2&t=0s

Well, I bought a shiny "gold" nozzle (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAMWC87) that puts out almost twice as wide pattern and looks to be much even distribution. Then I find a whole catalog of these different nozzles that are supposedly better for specific types of applications... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppBZHrA5eAU and the charts are here https://www.teejet.com/CMSImages/TEEJET ... guides.pdf https://www.teejet.com/CMSImages/TEEJET ... ozzles.pdf

My question is .... what nozzles do you use? What has been your experience with "non original" nozzles that came with your sprayer? I would use fan nozzle for applying pre-emergents, humic acid, iron, etc.
