Hi Everyone, my first post! I just moved into my first house and the lawn was pretty decent at the start of the summer other than the weeds.

About 2 weeks ago I left and there was a small brown patch in the yard the size of a basketball and now it’s massive. About 4 feet wide and there are multiple spots popping up all over the rest of the lawn.

Any advice on what I should do? I don’t want my whole lawn to get taken over by the brown patches.

Sounds like brown patch. The link below says that it is a fungus and what you can do to try to control it. You also need to control the weeds.
