Grass Seed Help

Hello. I need help finding the appropriate kind of grass to plant. I have soil that is a mixture of sand and clay with a high iron content. I also live in Northeastern Ohio so I'm not sure what kind of grass would be appropriate for me. Please help.

Welcome to the forum. I can't help you with grass in Ohio, but someone else might. I would still do the usual and do the prep work. Get a soil test and amend to prepare the ground. If you want anything to last, it needs to have a good head start.

Bluegrass and fine fescue. More info on this site:

I prefer to have some white dutch clover in the lawn also. But that's a personal preference. A lot of people consider clover as a weed.

Thank you! I will look more into these. I have some white dutch clover growing and I wasn't sure what it was called but it looks beautiful when it blooms.
