Weed identification pls

Morning,

Can anyone tell me what this is? I assume it is a weed so used Doof Lawn Feed, Weed and mosskiller but it didn't work.
That took a week and it is creeping across the garden.

Thank you

Sure looks like (red) clover to me. It's creeping?

Are they pretty small? I'm thinking it's more likely that they all sprouted from scattered seeds. Maybe you mowed down some that had matured and gone to seed and the seeds were transferred from the mower -- do you mow your lawn yourself?

Each about 5cm with 3 leaf. Last time I mowed was about 3weeks ago so might be that. I'm going to give it a close mow tonight and try some grass feed.
Thanks

Before we all got so attached to golf course lawns, they used to put clover seed in with grass seed, because it is good for your lawn. Clover is a nitrogen fixer. It can pull nitrogen out of the atmosphere and "fix" it into plant-usable form. Then when the clover is mowed down and the clippings break down in the lawn, all that nitrogen goes into the soil. And if you let some flower, honeybees love it.
