Sod and Soil

Hello,

I recently removed old sod and tilled the soil with 50/50 planting mix twice. I don't plan to lay the new sod for 2-3 weeks because there isn't too much sun in the forecast and I am out of town for the next two weeks. Is this okay? Is it bad to wait that long? Will rain "remove" or "wash away" the topsoil?
