Not sure but is this a type of grass, ive been noticing it more since I have been keeping lawn a bit taller, kinda looks like wheat. Can I get rid of it?

That is your lawn. By letting it grow taller, it thinks it's completing its life cycle, and it's producing seed. I don't have any lawn left to speak of, so I'm not an authority on this... but I've neglected enough lawns in my day to recognise it.

Thanks for the help and info you supplied, didnt know it would go to seed that quick, ive raised mower all the way up, I read that the roots are as deep as the grass is tall, and just over a week that is what lawn looks like. Guess ill lower mower a little. Thanks
