Can anybody identify this?

Fri Jul 26, 2013 8:22 pm

Hello,

I live in Florida and have a Floratam St. Augustine lawn. My lawn looks healthy for the most part except for a large brown spot that has come up in the front. I have attached pictures and cannot identify if this is some kind of disease or what. My lawn guy says it is from lack of water in this area, but it is getting as much water as the other healthy areas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does water pond there ? If it is kind of like a straw in the ground you might have aquatic species coming up. If that is the problem then you will only get them where the water ponds.

Can you pluck an few and take a picture on something that will provide contrast ?
