Grass Seed & Frost

I have a little grass seed to do this spring and would like to know if cooler temps or even a frost will effect this. I live in southern Ontario. Is there a best time to do this in the spring. Thanks.

Not in particular. The frost will more than likely keep it from sprouting fast and coming up as fast as it would if the temps were in the 60's and 70s consistantly. However, as long as the seed is there and it stays wet and in contact with the ground, it will germinate when the temps are right.

Better than the summer when the seed might germinate and then die quickly because of the heat.

I am assuming you have fescue, with all my answers. If that is true, then all things considered, fall is by far the best time to seed.
