Buttercups in my Bermuda Lawn

All solutions I've read involve pulling these Buttercup weeds or using gloves to paint each weed with glyphosate. I don't have the time (or the back) for this. Since Bermuda roots grow very deep and since it's in dormancy right now, can I do the plastic cover trick to kill these weeds? Will this kill my Bermuda lawn?

I would use a selective weedkiller that you can spray on the lawn but make sure you feed the lawn first then spray the week after.
