Can't identify this weed for the life of me! prob. Euphorbia

First of all, Hello!

I'm new here and in dire need of help. My father has been battling this unknown weed for the better part of the year and it is slowly winning the fight! It's all over the lawn. It grows in patches and starts to look a little whitish when it's mature.

We don't think we've ever seen it flower.

We contacted a horticulturist and he was never able to tell us what it was...

Here's some pictures of it.

Any idea what this monster is and what can be used to kill it? My dad uses ortho weed b gone max and it kills the thing. Problem is the yard is huge so if anyone could recommend a powder that we could spread around that'd be great!!

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure? These are tiny, stay tiny, and form patches.

I've googled Euphorbia lathyris and it's a huge weed! With thick stems etc. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the reply btw. !! :D :D

Altitude, soil quality, plant age, temperatures, competition, and a host of other factors will determine the height of a Euphorbia.

I've got E. lathyris in my garden, much to my chagrin, and it never gets much taller than 10 cm before it blooms and dies.

Yours could also be E. peplus, but it's definitely a Euphorbia.
