Patchy Grass

My lawn has a few spots that are just dirt. The grass isn't even there, I don't know what is going on with it. Help! Should I reseed it? It is heavily shaded, but it always gets watered, and the grass around it is very healthy and green.

Re-seed with some shade tolerant grass variety, like some of the fescues.

Dead patches can be from dog urine, grubs in the lawn, fertilizer spills, etc.
