Lawn on Driveway

I have a problem and I was hoping for some advise. I'm pulling my hair out but my lawn has more bald spots. I bought a home which has a driveway interlaced with grass. There are large rectangular blocks with grass around each in a grid. When we moved in, it was all dead. There are cinderblocks under the grass between the large blocks and the irrigation comes from underneath, through the openings in the cinderblocks. I had a lawnman put in sod. I have a mess now, everytime it rains. There are indentations in the grass areas where the wheels traverse. Mud oozes out when it is really saturated. Luckily we're in San Diego where it doesn't rain much. It's tall fesco like everything out here. The driveway is novel and green (I guess, when it's not brown) but now I hate it. Does anyone have any advise.

Thanks

clearly no one has any advice. It sounds like a mess. I think if it were mine, I'd just rip it all out and put an actual driveway in, though I understand this would be way expensive...
