Spots in my grass, please help identify the issue

Hello, I am new to the forum and hoping someone could help me identify the issue with my grass. Here are some facts

New House - Planted SOD last May
I believe it is 90% fescue from what I was told
I have 2 labradors
Was watering 13 min a day - 5 days a week. Just cut back to once a week for winter.

I have two other friends who planted same sod at same time, one fried has 3 med dogs, the other has 1 med dog and neither of their grass has any burn marks. I cant believe dog urine would kill large spots of grass like this. Am I wrong?

It's possible.

Are your Labs females? Sometimes, female dogs (whether intact or spayed) can burn grass with their urine. There are two theories on why this is so:

1) The "girls" do all their business in one spot, thus concentrating what the "boys" spread out among many locations.

2) There is a pH, chemical, or other difference between the urine of the "girls" and that of the "boys."

Ask around of your neighbors with dogs: do they have males? females? See if you can discern a pattern. There are products sold by dog-supply houses (reputable vendors), but never having used these products--I don't have a lawn--I can't vouch for their effectiveness.

One of my labs is a female. I visit my mother for 2-3 weeks every Christmas, she has a nice yard full of grass. I noticed during this time what appeard to be burn marks from my dogs which were about 4-5 inches in diameter. This made more sense to me that it was my dogs creating the burn spots as the size of the burn was more consistant with the amount of urine in that spot.

From the pictures I posted you can see where some of these patchest at 1 ft across. This would be my reasoning why I don't think its my dogs creating these.

I was watering fairly often and the ground was a bit on the saturated side. Next spring I will cut back on the water and see if that helps.
