Centipede lawn- how to lower PH

Hi

I laid down a centipede lawn late last year. I just now got the soil tested and the ph is extremely high (between 7.5 and 8.0 depending on location). I understand high ph for centipede can be detrimental (centipede likes around 5.5 ph), including yellowing due to not being able to take up iron. What is the best way to lower the ph now that the sod is layed?

I have read about using elemental sulfur, aluminum sulfate, or fertilizer containing ammonium sulfate, urea, etc but am not sure if you can broadcast these on top of the lawn (as opposed to mixing with the soil before laying sod).
