Finish mower or flail?
I normally mow my lawns with riding mowers but this year the rain has made it so I could not keep up with mowing it all. Some of my meadows look like hay fields and I will have to use the tractor with the bush hog to cut it down to where I can mow it with the riding mowers. I can not mow close with the bush hog as it will dig into the dirt; no front wheels on it. I am now thinking that I may need a finish mower or a flail for the tractor. I am wondering if a flail would mulch the grass better and make it so I do not have to run a lawn rake over it to pick up the clumps when the grass gets to long. Does any one use a flail on lawns here?
