Organic Fall Fertilizer?

Hello:

I did not fertilizer my lawn late fall last year. Did not apply a "fall fertiziler" as I could not find an Organic one. As a result, my lawn looked like it was in winter mode up til early April whereas other lawns were turning green and with combination of bare spots and areating, a number of weeds took hold of yard (did not apply Corn Gluten either) in the spring.

So the question is - is there an organic fall fertilzer?

Sure -- I use one called Lawns Alive Fall (I buy it here: https://www.gardensalive.com). I've heard good things about Ringer too but haven't used it.

You mentioned the corn gluten. It can be applied in fall as well as early spring and it feeds the soil (nitrogen) as well as suppressing weeds.

I am in Southern Ontario, climate would be just a little more cooler than yours. How early in Spring do you apply corn gluten ? Late March/ Early April?

Times would be NOW and again before weeds start emerging in the spring. When that is would depend on your location/climate. For me it would be April.

Here's an article:
