do i have to dig out my old grass???

Hi All

as you can see im new, so if i sound like im completly stupid then its cause im a novice!!

anyway i want to lay a new lawn as my old lawn is looking abit worn and is not level at all, id like to make it higher as well so can i just put top soil all over it with my old grass underneth and then lay new rolls of lawn over it or well i have problems??

About making the lawn higher, I think it will depend on how high you want it. If only a couple or three inches, laying sod will do it automatically. If more than that, you'll want to heed [url=https://www.ladybug.uconn.edu/PUrchasingTopsoil.htm]this article[/url] on purchasing topsoil. But first, check my answer in the other thread.

Please tell me where you are located.

well im in the uk (hampshire) i was only want to raise it about an inch so nothing major really
