I am looking for suggestions on the best places to get grass seed at affordable prices. I am not opposed to buying online to get the discounts that might not be available in stores. Can anyone suggest places they've bought from before?

I wouldn't suggest purchasing grass seed in garden stores, but you won't find discounts online. It doesn't work the same way for grass seeds as when buying other type items on the net. The purpose is to find a wide range of quality seeds that you can't find in stores. I would suggest if price is paramount, you would do better purchasing from one of the big box stores.
If I knew what type of grass you have, I'd suggest some varieties or a blend for you. If you prefer a different cool season species, like tall fescue, you can just ask any of the suppliers on the list above which varieties they offer.
