Hi, I have a real problem with wormcasts.
I laid a new lawn earlier in the year and currently my lawn looks like a battlefield. With no exageration there are between 8 and 12 wormcasts in every square metre of lawn most of which are 5 to 10 centimetres high.
Most people I have approched say 'it's good for the grass' or 'why not brush them off when they dry out?'
Anyone who has had the problem knows that these are not solutions.
for starters - brushing only works when they are dry and with our summer...need I say any more. If you brush when wet you get a mess.
Has anyone any suggestions -I'm against killing the worms but from what I've read you can't really do that anymore anyway.
I've been told to lower the PH of the soil but not sure how the grass would react to that?
Please Help.......
