What has happened to my grass?

This has appeared in the last couple of days. I think it's a bit bigger than yesterday but I'm not 100% sure. No other spots like this. Zoysia, nothing unusual has been on or happened to the lawn.

Pull some of the dead grass out and sniff it. It may be critter urine. If you do not smell pee pull more up by the roots and look for grubs just below the soil line.

If there had been something left on that spot -- like clear plastic bag/object or inflatable, that would've killed the grass from the sun. Or if something was spilled/poured out there.... where exactly is the dead patch located?

One time during a storm, a largish plastic bag blew onto my lawn. Only one day in the sun, but rain had pooled on the bag, flat against the grass. I knew it was there but couldn't get to it. By next day, the bag had dried and blew a few feet away, stuck in shrubbery, but the grass was dead.
